In our heritage display we are covering various topics including farming, social life, war time, schools and shops. There are new interpretation boards, an array of photographs and artefacts and QR codes that allow visitors to listen to stories, memories and poems. There are also iPads available for visitors to make the most of the QR codes.

One of the walls is covered with a mural of a timeline of the boats that connected Shapinsay to Kirkwall through the years. Another addition is our Iona cabin with the original ship's wheel.

There is also a craft shop offering a selection of locally made crafts and Shapinsay related items.

We are open every day from 11:30AM to 16:00PM.
